In celebration of the 13th Charter Anniversary of the Rotaract Club of Rizal Centro, a dental mission was held at Kaysakat National High School for the locals of Sitio Kaysakat, Antipolo City on March 4, 2023 headed by its Club President Levin Landingin.
The Rotaract Club President emphasized the need to provide quality healthcare to everyone especially the marginalized members of society or those in remote, far-off places far from hospital or dental facilities, which is why he assembled a group to do just that.
“It shall be a basic human right that access to quality healthcare be given to those in need and it is everyone’s responsibility to care for one another,” said Landingin.
The club together with its partners offered free tooth extraction and fluoride application for adults and kids.
They sought to provide free access to dental healthcare and hygiene to far-flung areas in Antipolo such as Sitio Kaysakat. The Club also provided postoperative medications and toothbrushes to the beneficiaries.
Partner clubs who helped make the dental mission possible include: Rotary District Rotaract Committee Marikina-Rizal Head, PP Sixto Cruz III; Rotary Club of Rizal Centro; Rotaract Club of Caloocan; Rotaract Club of Mandaluyong; Rotaract Club of Metro East Taytay; Rotaract Club of Rodriguez; Rotaract Club of San Juan East; Rotaract Club of Wack Wack; Kaysakat National High School; and Mediko Kapitolyo Multispecialty and Diagnostic Clinic.
