Avatar: The Way of the Water is not just a movie but a cinematic event that needs to be experienced in a movie theater.

It is set about 15 years after the events of the first film and tells the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children). We see the trials and tribulations of the family as they go to great lengths to protect each other. We see the battles they fight and even the tragedies they endure.

A threat they thought beaten returns and the Sully family is forced to flee to the land of the Metkayina clan in the oceans of the planet Pandora situating their adventure in another breathtaking locale.

Director James Cameron returns the sequel 13 years after the first film. He also co-produced with Jon Landau. Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet star.

Avatar: The Way of Water is the first of four sequels planned by Cameron. It is a complete standalone story but is also supposed to be a part of a four-movie narrative that should extend to Avatar 3, 4 and 5.

However, Avatar movies are so hard and so expensive to make that Cameron said if The Way of Water underperforms at the box office, then Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 won’t be made. Avatar 3 will be released regardless.

Whether these next installments of the Avatar tale ultimately becomes a four-part adventure or just a pair of blockbusters, Avatar: The Way of the Water needs to be experienced on the big screen.
