The Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay San Jose handed out educational financial assistance to 650 college and senior high school students as part of the Scholarship Payout Program at the covered court of Sun Hwa International Academy.
The entire SK San Jose community joined in the milestone of the success of the Scholarship Payout Program. As the youth from various Sitios gathered, the emergence of new dreams and victories among the students was witnessed.
The SK San Jose extended immense gratitude to all who shared their support and dedication. Foremost, heartfelt thanks go to Mayor Casimiro “Jun” A. Ynares III, whose support and collaboration with the General Services Office facilitated and provided hundreds of seats for the scholars.
The Mayor of Antipolo was represented by the Vice Mayor Josefina G. Gatlabayan who gave an inspirational message about the importance of education in life breakthroughs and the City Government’s role to improve the educational facilities and system of the city.
Special acknowledgment goes to councilors Lorenzo Juan Sumulong III, Ronaldo “Puto” Leyva and Christian Alarcon who attended and shared their knowledge and encouragement to inspire the youths to reach new heights and life endeavors.
It’s also commendable to recognize the significant role played by Christian Kyle Jester G. Garcia, SK Chairman, and the SK Council in sparking the dreams of hundreds of SK Scholars in Barangay San Jose. Their dedication and determination are truly commendable after a two-week long validation and reaching out to the scholars who submitted their application.
The program also gave a special thanks to the beloved Barangay Captain Montero Azur M. Tolentino, whose past initiatives as a Chairman of the former SK Council paved the way for the success of this program.
The SK Council hoped that all the Educational Assistance given will be utilized for the betterment, improvement and attainment of the scholar’s academic pursuits.
SK San Jose is the second SK Council, which initiated their Scholarship Program after being newly elected during the Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Election held last October 30, 2023.
