The 2023 2ND FAMILY COLOR RUNS “Takbo Para sa Pamilya 2.0 – Antipolo City Rizal” will be held November 18, 2023 with start at Ynares Center, Antipolo at 5 AM.
The proceeds of this run – which has captured the hearts of growing families, students and employee runners in the City of Antipolo and in the Province of Rizal community – will be used for the benefit of the church, students and single parents
This project, is a collaborative effort of the MAHARLIKANS, PAFR and Antipolo City LGU along with parents, students and athletes.
This year’s FunRun will be led by Project Chairman Sgt. Eloisa Soriano, PAFR, Maharlikans Fraternal, Governor – Luzon.
Despite having higher expectations – the event has since become one of the most sought-after event in the community that puts a premium on health and fitness – this year’s organizing committee will certainly give its best.
The race is open to runners of all ages and running experience. It will have four distance categories: KIDDIE Run, 1-kilometer, 3-kilometers and 5-kilometers. The 1-kilometer category was included to encourage more participation from students and the course will be from Ynares Center to Hinulugang Taktak.
Apart from the participation of students, together with their families, relatives and friends expect a welcome spike in attendance, with members of the Rotary Pasig North, Philippines Airforce Reserve from Lipa and Maharlikans, and the running public taking part in this event.
The call time is at 5:00 in the morning. The program formally starts at 6:00 AM, with welcome remarks from the Chairperson. There will follow a set of warm-up exercises which includes a 15-minute Zumba Workdance Fitness routine, officiated by Anytime fitness XentroMall.
Afterward, the much-awaited run begins, first with the KIDDIE Run then the 1k, 3k and 5k runs in quick succession.
One by one, group by group, the participants start at Ynares Center to Hinulugang Taktak back to Ynares to complete their respective runs. They will then get finisher certificates and may visit the various booths of event sponsors to get their freebies.
Aside from the singlet event shirt and a loot bag of freebies, participants will also receive finishers’ special prizes upon crossing the finish line. This year’s activity takes on a greater significance as the proceeds will be used for the benefit of the church, students and single parents.
