Victory Park & Shop was host to the final screening of the official candidates for Queen of Antipolo 2023.
The search concluded with 21 trans candidates making it to the official list eligible to join the Queen of Antipolo pageant to be held May 26 at the City Mall of Antipolo.
President of Queen of Antipolo and organizer of the pageant Shane Parreno expressed her gratitude to Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares and wife former mayor Andeng Ynares for supporting the TransPinay community.
“Lubos po ang pasasalamat ng mga TransPinay kay Mayor Jun Ynares and of course kay Mayora Andeng Ynares dahil binalik po nila ang Queen of Antipolo pageant,” said Parreno.
The panel of judges include reigning Queeen of Antipolo 2019 Roxi Mauricio, Ginoong Antipolo 2023 Victor Pinili, Cokie Nalog, Ryan Crisologo, Charlemagne Charvet and Alexis Garcia.
Barangay Mayamot Kagawad Kristine Ibardolaza was the special guest speaker.
The 21 TransPinays who made the cut are Kendra Elmido Mendez, Nikki Bella Felicio, Kylie Soberano, Cassie Castilian, Jerry Bataller, Rubi Anne Fernandez Ballarta, Ems Mina, Prince Micabel Santos, Pauleen Montecillo Ravena and Jek Dela Cerna.
Other TransPinay candidates include Erin Rio III, Cristine Gregorio, AJ Madrigal Flores, Je Orgel Cid, Trixie Elise Francisco, Arghiel Nicole Leguro Hernandez, Apple Cael Garcia, Monica Portugal Abad, Romina Leyva, Shan Raky Jereza and Barbie Anne
The winner of Queen of Antipolo 2023 will receive ₱50,000; the 1st Princess, ₱30,000; 2nd Princess, ₱20,000; 3rd Princess, ₱10,000; 4th Princess, ₱10,000; Minor Awards, ₱3,000 each; Best in Costume, ₱5,000; Consolation, ₱3,000 each.
