Former Antipolo City Mayor Andeng Ynares awarded certificates of recognition to children during the Orally Fit Child Awarding Ceremony at the Antipolo Sports Hub.

Ynares was accompanied by Antipolo City Councilor Doc Rico De Guzman, City Health Office Head Dr. Concepcion Lat as well as Antipolo City Health Office personnel.

The participating children were day care students of Antipolo. They were accompanied by their parents and given certificates and dental loot bags.

The awarding ceremony and was part of the th National Dental Health Month with the theme: “Ibigin ang bibig! Sa bibig na malusog at alaga, masustansyang pagkain enjoy hanggang pagtanda.”

The celebration emphasizes and gives utmost attention to the importance of oral health. Oral health is fundamental to overall health, well-being and a person’s quality of life. A healthy mouth enables people to eat, to speak and socialize without pain, without discomfort, or embarrassment.”

There is therefore a direct relationship between oral and general health which means that dental care must never be neglected.
