Department of Trade and Industry-Rizal held the CREATIVE Rizal conference at the Ynares Events Center, Rizal Capitol, Antipolo City which brought together more than 100 participants from the arts, creative and media organizations of Rizal, educational institutions, national government, MSMEs and other members of the private sector.

DTI-Rizal OIC Provincial Director Cleo Duran explained how the Philippine Creative Industries Development Act strives to develop Philippine creative industries by protecting and strengthening the rights and capacities of creative firms, artists, artisans, creators, creative workers, indigenous cultural communities, creative content providers and other stakeholders.

Antipolo Councilor Doc Rico De Guzman delivered the Welcome Message in behalf of Mayor Jun Ynares. Rizal Province’s Rhea Ynares delivered the message of support to the Rizal creative industry in behalf of Rizal Governor Nina Ynares.

DTI Assistant Regional Director Region IV-A Revelyn Cortez likewise delivered a message of support to Rizal creative industry in behalf of Marissa Argente, Regional Director, DTI IV-A.

Marlo Carag, Intellectual Property Rights specialist IV, IPO Philippines explained the importance of protecting your intellectual property through trademark and copyright.

The law states the policy of the State to promote and support the development of Philippine creative industries by protecting and strengthening the rights and capacities of creative firms, artists, artisans, creators, workers, indigenous cultural communities, content providers, and stakeholders in the creative industries as defined in this Act.

The conference fostered collaboration and networking opportunities for stakeholders in the creative industry.

Members of VINERCHY dance group showcased their talent by providing entertainment during the conference. The Montalban group will compete in the International Hiphop Dance Competition in Singapore January, 2024.
