Barangay San Jose Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman Montero Azur Tolentino passed the 2022 Physician Licensure Examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 3,826 out of 5,958 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last October 2022.

Tolentino hopes to follow in the footsteps Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares, who is a physician and a politician. He candidly admitted that the city chief executive is one of his role models.

“Syempre si Mayor Jun (Ynares) din, kasi, lumaki ako sa Antipolo, at nakita ko yung progress na napaganda nya talaga yung Antipolo City. Pareho (kami) sa medical field,” said Tolentino.

The San Jose SK Chairman wants to pursue a career of public service and passing the Licensure Examination for Physicians is a step in that direction.

“May mga similarities din (career path) kaya naging inspiration ko siya at naging isa siya sa mga naging role models ko. Napag sabay niya yung medical career at nandito na rin siya sa politics at nakakatulong siya at maganda yung mga programs na nagagawa niya para sa Antipolo City,” said Tolentino.

The results were released in six working days from the last day of examination. The passing rate was 64 percent.

Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, chairman; Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana and Dr. Joanna V. Remo, are the members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination.
