Antipolo City was recognized by the Department of Finance (DOF) for the COVID-19 economic recovery practices for the benefit of its residents as well as Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) adversely affected by the pandemic.

Antipolo City Mayor Andeng Ynares received the Best Local Fiscal Management Practice award in the area of Recovery Initiative to Help Rebuild the Economy from the DOF.

Unti-unting nakabangon ang ating mga local businesses at MSMEs sa tulong ng ating best practices in Local Treasury and/or Assessment Services,” Ynares said.

The city’s best practices to help business include the exemption from business taxes, fees, and charges of establishments that do not earn more than P200,000 in gross income and the Good Samaritan Discount which grants a 50 percent discount on business tax of establishments converted into isolation facilities or testing centers.

The DOF also recognized Antipolo in 2019 as No. 1 among all cities in the country in the 2019 Year-on-Year Growth in Local Sourced Revenues.

In addition, Antipolo gave a 10 percent discount to residents who paid their Real Property Tax (RPT) for 2022 on or before March 30, 2022 which was a big help for businesses hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Antipolo continues to adopt practices to make it easier for residents to transact business with the city. There is an Online Real Property Tax Payment System for the safety and convenience of taxpayers. Residents may pay using PayMaya and create an account by visiting the link: https://antipoloonline.egapsonline.com
