The Philippine Statistics Authority RSSO IV-A in Lipa City, Batangas commenced the month-long celebration of the 31st Civil Registration Month with an Opening Ceremony held on February 1, 2021 geared towards the theme: “Strengthening Civil Registration and Vital Statistics’ Digital Information: The Ways to Manage the New Normal”.
Walk-in clients at the CRS Serbilis Outlet were enjoined to be part of the program being the very public that PSA serves for their vital document needs.
Juliedin B. Nohay, CRS Outlet Supervisor in her presentation stressed the importance of registering vital events along with its legal, administrative and statistical uses.
She also shared the region-wide activities of the PSA in relation to Civil Registration Month this year and guided the clients on the processes in the issuance of civil registry documents.
Important points in addressing common problems affecting birth documents were discussed by Marites A. Dimaano while Ms. Marife C. Bautista, Administrative Officer IV, served as moderator during the open forum wherein clients were given the chance to ask questions and suggestions, info-campaign materials were also distributed.
In her closing message, Aleli Jane A. Reaño, Accountant III, emphasized that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, PSA will continue to serve them and on-line services PSA offers in securing documents can also be availed by our people.
The PSA activities are on its way this February to continue its commitment for the achievement of the goals of Civil Registration Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade and to bring civil registration services and vital statistics closer to the public. Let us all be movers and promoters of the need to be registered and have a legal identity – No Excuses.
