Barangay San Jose Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman Doc Monte Tolentino M.D. joined SK Federation President Peter Papel Jr., other SK officials and youth volunteers who planted saplings in the hills of Barangay Calawis, Antipolo.

The activity is part of DILG MC No. 2023-025 implementing “Buhay ay Ingatan Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program” and DILG MC No. 2023-001 implementing “Halina’t magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) Program”.

The youth volunteers planted the seeds of change with the saplings which will protect the environment, prevent erosion and to ensure a sustainable future.

“Mapalad po akong maging bahagi ng event na ‘to that showcased the power of the youth! Sama-sama kaming mga kabataan na nagtanim and nurtured new life. Sa bawat tree sapling, we embraced hope at commitment sa isang sustainable future,” said Doc Monte in his Facebook Page.

“Para sa mga kabataan, it’s never too late to help our planet. Samahan po n’yo kami sa adbokasiyang ito. Together, we’re growing a forest of dreams and a legacy of environmental stewardship.”
