The Rotary International District 3800 led by Rotary Club of East Rizal President John Christian Reyes, together with the Philippine Air Force Reserve led by Sgt. Ylloiza Santiago and the Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter led by Rizal Province Branch Administrator Mark Joy Santos held a gift-giving activity “Pasko sa Lansangan: A Christmas Caravan for the Children of Antipolo” last December 22, 2022.
This year, we were able to provide gifts to over 100 children, thanks to the generosity of our volunteers and donors. The event was held at Inuman Elementary School in Barangay Inarawan and in the local community center in Ahon Sitio San Lorenzo Ruiz in Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City.
Children received educational toys, snacks, games, and other gifts. It was very sweet to see the smiles on their faces when they opened their gifts.
In addition to providing gifts, there were a variety of activities and games set up for the children to enjoy. There was stop-dancing, community singing, and some snacks for them to enjoy and fill their tummies. This activity aimed to bring joy to the children in our community, not only thru gift giving but also by teaching children proper handwashing, conserving water, and caring for the environment led by the Philippine Red Cross, as well as to promote peace and understanding led by the Philippine Air Force Reserve.
This event would not have been possible without the support of The Philippine Air Force Reserve led by Sgt. Ylloiza Santiago, Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter Rizal Province Branch, Rotary Club of East Rizal, Rotary Club of Mandaluyong North, Golden Dragon Foundation, Rotary Club of Malabon East, Rotary Club of Antipolo Centro, Rotaract Club of Antipolo Centro, Rotary Club of Pasig South, Rotary Club of Taytay, Rotary Club of Rizal Urban, Rotary Club of Suburban East Rizal, Rotary Club of Cainta, Rotary Club of Metro East Taytay, Rotary Club of Metro Cainta, Rotary Club of Antipolo City, Rotary Club of Teresa, Rotary Club of Antipolo East, Rotary Club of Pasig Sunrise, Rotary Club of Jalajala, Rotary Club of Dagat-Dagatan, Rotary Club of ManPaSan, Rotary Club of Metro Marikina, Rotary Club of Malabon, Rotary Club of River City Marikina, Rotary Club of Rizal Mideast, Rotary Club of Angono, Rotary Club of Rizal Centro, Rotary e-club of Marikina, Rotary Club of San Mateo, and Mr. Dan Lauzon.
