Goalkeeper Liv McDaniel produced a 75th minute screamer that gave Stallion Laguna FC a 1-0 win over a gritty Makati FC side and solidify its hold of the top spot in the PFF Women’s League at the MoA Football Field.

The national team standout scored on a beautiful set piece delivery that broke the goalless stalemate.

Earlier, Kaya FC-Iloilo rescued a point with a last-gasp equalizer by Joyce Onrubia to force a 1-1 draw with Capital1.

Stallion remained on top of the league table with 22 points, three clear of Kaya and the Solar Strikers with 19 points.  Kaya sits in No. 2 by virtue of superior goal difference.

The race for the championship remains too close to call, as Kaya still has two matches in hand, while Stallion and Capital1 have one game left in the league.

The Solar Strikers opened the scoring after a goalless 90 minutes courtesy of Regine Rebosura and were poised to pull off a monumental upset.

But Kaya showed resiliency in the end.
