Analiza Sumulong, owner of Pat and Josh Food Products, is a pioneer of seller of suman, kasoy, kalamay and other delicious delicacies which are the favorite of local tourists and visitors to Antipolo. 

“Nagsimula po ako sa Antipolo Cathedral simbahan na nagtitinda ng suman at kasoy. Isa po sa mga tumulong sa akin na mailabas ay si Kuya Mar Bacani sa Tourism. Ang una ko pong step for my journey sa hanapbuhay ay sa Intramuros. Doon po nakilala ang Lenleng’s Store of Antipolo delicacy,” said Sumulong.

“Ako po ang one of the best na laging nakukuha ng munisipyo, city hall at kapitolyo. At doon din po ako nakilala ng Department of Trade and Industry through endorsement ng Tourism. Sa pamamagitan po ng DTI at Tourism nakilala po ang Pat and Josh Food Products at pina develop po sa akin ang produkto ng Turones De Kasoy. One of the best seller.”

Sumulong is part of the One Town One Product OTOP initiative of DTI as well as an active member of Samahan ng mga Rizalenyo sa sektor ng Agrikultura at Pagkain SARAP and Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Association Inc. REMAI.

“Ako po ay isa sa beneficiary ng OTOP. At wala pa po noon ang SARAP organization at REMAI isa na po ako sa original na nagtitinda ng kasoy na adobo, kasoy na plain,” said Sumulong.

Both SARAP and REMAI display their products at Tindahang Rizaleño located at #83 Sen. Lorenzo Sumulong Circle Corner Sto. Niño Street, Brgy. San Jose Antipolo.

While Pat and Josh Food Products is promoted through SARAP and OTOP Sumulong remains faithful to her roots with her own store near the Antipolo Cathedral.

“Meron po akong physical store sa Victory Park Pasalubong Center. LenLeng’s store. Maari pong pumasyal (doon) upang matikman ninyo ang masarap na suman at kasoy at natatanging produkto na suman na laging bagong luto,” said Sumulong.

 “Because of the quality of my product sa pamamaraan ng aking pagluluto binabalikbalikan at marami akong suki sa simbahan ng Antipolo. Sa ngayon po masasabi ko na since mailabas ako sa simbahan sa pag ma-market nakilala na po ako through online. Through order. Marami na po akong suki na namimili sa akin through Facebook and sa Tindahang Rizalenyo.” OTOP is a priority stimulus program for Micro, Small and Medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs). The program enables localities and communities to determine, develop, support, and promote products or services that are rooted in its local culture, community resource, creativity, connection, and competitive advantage.
