The 1st Family Color Runs, held at Taktak Road near the famed Hinulugang Tak Antipolo City for the benefit of charity, was a huge success.
Project Chairman, Sgt Maria Eloisa Soriano of the Philippine Air Force Reserve thanked the sponsors for the success of the event. These included Pocari Sweat; Anytime Fitness, Lower Antipolo Branch; GMA7 Regional TV; PCOO and PNA c/o Joseph Razon; Jollibee Foods, Antipolo Branch; the Rizal Provincial Capitol led by Governor Nina Ynares; Antipolo City led by Mayor Jun Ynares III; and Antipolo Star.
Soriano also thank their group commander, LTC Rodolfo Lubis and Wing Commander, BGen. Nelson P Collantes PAFR.
Other members of the production staff are co chairman Ayel Cathrinne Jorda; the members of the production teams including teacher Jerome Inocian, SSg. Rhon Laco, TSg.Mark Obille, Mar Devs De Villa and Rosell Riazon.
The fun runs served as fundraiser for family broken or separated during this pandemic. It is for students, as it encouraged youth exercise and team building. It also raised money for the benefit of the Institutional Outreach Program and Fund Raising money that will go directly to single parent families, school and students according to organizers.
The PAFR is a strong supporter of the Provincial Government of Rizal and City Administration of Antipolo City especially its Tourism Department.
They have previously conducted and sponsored several community activities, such as family socials, clubs, educational assemblies and even book affair.
All participants received a race bib, color run shirt and a simple snack given after the race. All finishers received a PAFR Color Run medal. An awarding ceremony at the end of the run capped the event. There were also be exhibitors’ booths and lots of freebies.
