The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), the private corporation operator of LRT-1, partnered with Global Electric Transport (GET) Philippines, to form the LRT-1 Riders Club to provide easy and affordable transportation to the riding public.

Jacqueline Gorospe, Head of Corporate Communications and Customer Relations of the Light Rail Manila Corporation introduced the Riders Club to members of the online community at Lola’s Café, Conrad Hotel.

“We are the private operator of LRT 1 and we partnered with Global Electric Transport in forming the LRT 1 Riders Club. Under this partnership our riders, our passengers of LRT 1 can enjoy seamless, emission-less travel from LRT 1 station (to their destination),” said Gorospe.

“The first route includes PITX to Ayala Mall Circuit. This route services different stops along Macapagal Avenue, different parts of Makati, up until the Central Business District. We hope to serve more passengers with this and make it a more seamless and convenient travel.”       

LRT1 passengers can avail of the shuttle service featuring the Community Optimized Managed Electric Transport (COMET) minibuses thru the GETPASS App which is available for download from Google Play and App Store.

Membership passes for the LRT-1 Riders Club come in the following amounts and validity of unlimited rides: Bronze – ₱50 (1 day pass), Silver – ₱150 (1 week pass), and Gold – ₱500 (1 month pass).

The membership pass also provides access to ride the COMET buses in other routes within the GET Philippines network. Daily pass is currently exclusive to members of LRT-1 Riders Club. LRT-1 Riders Club members also enjoy exclusive benefits that include COMET shuttle service, discounts at partner merchants, limited edition merchandise, access to online games in GETPass App for a chance to win exciting prizes.
