SM City Marikina was host to the presentation and parade of the security force and maintenance personnel of SM Supermalls during the Joint Tactical Inspection and General Assembly of Troops 2022.

Senior Assistant Vice-President for CRS of SM Supermalls Almus Alabe along with SAVP for CRS-SM Retail Inc. Charleston Tan and AVP for CRS-FRG Victor Santiago led the inspection.

Alabe congratulated the SM City-Lucena’s CRS and mall guards for a job well done. He also asked the personnel to support and work together as one, always think as one, move as one and show everyone that they are united and care for their customers.

District Director, Eastern Police District Director PBGen Orlando Yebra, Jr. was guest of honor and speaker. He acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the private sector, especially SM, in ensuring peace and order in the communities.

The annual event was conducted by Customer Relations Service (CRS) Department of SM to ensure the readiness and capability of the security force to determine their compliance with the standards set forth by the company and the PNP, to fulfill the duties of ensuring the security and safety of the mallgoers.

Other honored guests included SM Regional Operations Manager Dennis Martel Johanna Melissa Rupisan, SAVP for Mall Operations; Engineer Bien C. Mateo, SVP Mall Operations; SMMK Assistant Mall Manager Maluresa S. Reyes and SMMA Assistant Mall Manager Naelah V. Tulayba.

The general assembly was held at SM City Marikina Basement Parking.

It is worth noting that security guards and maintenance personnel are among the beneficiaries of the approved minimum wage board increase across Metro Manila workers.

The inspection ensures that guards are always properly dressed, equipped, and adequately supplied by their respective Security Agency providers.

Armaments and issued firearms, communication equipment and other support gadgets were also inspected to ensure that they are always functional and ready to use.
