The Antipolo City Police Station and the Commission on Elections launched the Safe National and Local Elections 2022 campaign dubbed as “Kasimbayanan)” – Kawani (personnel), Simbahan (church), at Pamayanan (and community) to ensure safe and peaceful conduct of elections in the Northern Mindanao region.

The program started with a Unity Walk from Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Office along M. Santos Street, Barangay San Roque to Sumulong Park.

Antipolo City Police Station OIC PLt. Col. June Paolo Abrazado and City Election Officer Rhodora Aquino-Yanes led the walk.

“Nawa’y respetuhin po natin ang ating mga mamamayan at ang kanilang karapatan na mamili ng malaya na hindi mabahiran ng hindi patas na impluwansya mula sa kahit kaninong kandidato o kanilang mga tagapag-suporta. Walang dapat ibang makapangyarihan ngayon darating na eleksyon kundi ang ating mga mamamayan na ating gustong paglingkuran,” said PLt. Col. Abrazado.

Also with them were (INF) PA-CMO Officer 80IB, 1Lt. Christian Allan Paul Bauya, Antipolo City Fire Marshal CInsp. Winnie Astrero, religious leaders, members of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) and Advocacy Support Group Force-multipliers.

They carried white balloons to promote all out support and show unity towards a clean and peaceful election this coming May 2022.

Religious leaders were represented by Rev. Fr. John Paul Buenafe, Pastor Vincent Rosales, Imam Abdulwahid Datu and President Jamael Ampao. They played a vital role by delivering their interfaith invocation and message to unite in serving and protecting the interest of Filipino people in the coming National and Local Election this 2022.

The participants lighted candles and were pinned with the SAFE 2022 followed by signing of manifesto by the attendees from PNP, AFP, COMELEC, BFP, PPCRV, religious and community leaders and force multipliers.

White doves were released as a symbol of peace and unity. #SerbisyongMayPagkukusaNgitiAtMalasakit #PNPKakampiMo #WeServeAndProtect #TeamPNP
