Great news for pet-lovers in the Pasig and Cainta area.

SM City East Ortigas, in partnership with Nutrichunks, opened a Paw Park where restless pets can play around and entertain themselves inside the mall.

SM City East Ortigas Assistant Mall Manager Arbie Cadalin, San Miguel Trade Marketing Manager Cathy Sunga, San Miguel Unit Sales Manager – Animal Health and Pet Care Razel Grace Bognot, DVM and Philippine Pet Fashion Icon Bernie Alfonso cut the ceremonial ribbon to formally open the Paw Park at the second level of the mall.

SM City East Ortigas Assistant Mall Manager Arbie Cadalin welcomed the public to the opening of the park for pets.

“We take pride in providing a fun place to our beloved pets. Fur parents can now take their dogs to an active playdate as the Paw Park features obstacle courses and agility training equipment, where pets can learn tricks, do exercises or simply socialize with other dogs,” said Cadalin.

“SM’s paw park is one of the many mall initiatives to give mall goers and their pets a safe space to have fun amidst the pandemic. It is also a testament to SM’s continued commitment to keep bringing new, exciting and safe offerings to our community.”

She then thanked everyone who attended and then proceeded to lead the cutting of the ceremonial ribbon.

Nutrichunks gave away free dog food during the event. Bake Best gave away free samples of cooked puto ang bibingka from their premixes. Pets were vaccinated free of charge.

And there was even a contest for the pet which wore the best costume.

In all, it was a fun afternoon that was well-spent.
