As 2021 comes to an end, SM Center Angono launched its own 2022 Art Calendar.

The SM Center Angono 2022 Art Calendar is a visual treat that is uniquely Angono. The art calendar features 16 of the 67 amazing works of brilliant artists not only from the town of Angono but from other towns of Rizal and Metro Manila.

The artworks are done with the theme: “Discover Angono: The Art Capital of the Philippines”.

Sixteen oeuvres are among the top entries submitted in the Art-Calendar Making competition hosted by SM in partnership with the Municipal Government of Angono in October 2021.

The top winners in the competition include, Cipriano Gayoso, Jr., Sean Winston Ulang, Victorino S. Gamido Jr., Oliver Dadivas, Joselito Arabit and Romel Ibañez.

Ten Special Awards are also given to select participants whose art works are included on specially-made postcards.

The artists are Romeo Apuli, Jr., Fitz Gerein Yaneza, Joanna Mae Castro, Delfin Tumibay, John Dean Yap, Dion Edwin Francisco, Audhie Oliveros, Kazuyuki Motoda, Ahlen Batalon and Gener Blanco.

The competition judges are a roster of recognized visual artists in the country and abroad. They are Jerson Samson, Ella Hipolito and Maria Lourdes Perez.

“We are truly grateful to the artists who lent their vision and talent into this project. Congratulations to our amazing winners and we hope that we’d be able to share their art pieces to more enthusiasts through this art calendar. This project is part of the call to the people and the young generation to continuously engage in visual art to preserve the magnificent heritage of the town of Angono,” said Paolo Gunao, SM Center Angono Assistant Mall Manager during the ceremony.

The SM Center Angono 2022 Art Calendar is available for a limited time only at the Art Hub located at the second level of the mall.
