Antipolo City, along with the entire Province of Rizal, will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the second-most strict quarantine classification, until October 31, 2021.

Other areas that will remain under MECQ include: Apayao, Kalinga, Batanes, Bulacan, Bataan, Cavite and Laguna.

The decision was handed down by the national government’s pandemic task force, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF).

This despite the massive drive of the city to vaccinate its population with daily vaccinations conducted in numerous vaccination centers accepting walk-ins. Antipolo residents are vaccinated with Sinovac, Pfizer, Moderna, SinoPharm, Sputnik and AstraZeneca vaccine doses daily.

Even non-Antipolo residents are accepted daily at the Ynares Events Center where Sinovac is administered.

There is also a Bakuna Caravan which goes to the communities to administer vaccines.

There is even free RT-PCR tests conducted at the Rizal Mega Testing Facility. This is possible because Antipolo has its own Molecular Testing Laboratory, in Sitio Cabading

Metro Manila is downgraded to Alert Level 3.

This means that most business establishments, facilities and services are allowed to open.

Even cinemas, theaters, theme parks, swimming pools, libraries, museums, and other tourist attractions, venues for social gatherings like weddings, parties, and debuts will be allowed to operate under limited capacity.

They may accommodate up to 30% of indoor venue capacity, but only for fully-vaccinated persons. Outdoor areas may operate up to 50% of capacity.

The rest of the country will be under more lenient classifications of General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions, GCQ, and the most lenient quarantine status of Modified GCQ.
