As 2021 unfolds, the Professional Fighters League is looking forward to coming back in a big way.

The US-based mixed martial arts organization is gearing up for their third season which kicks off in April of 2021, possibly their biggest yet.

Already, the PFL is widely considered as the most innovative sports league in the world today, thanks to the way that they have enhanced how fans view the sport of MMA. From the unique tournament-style league format that makes it easy for fans to follow their favorite fighters’ progress, to the proprietary SmartCage technology that brings fans a deeper and more interactive viewing experience, the PFL is leading the charge in terms of innovations in mixed martial arts.

In 2021, the PFL is taking fan interaction to another level through their partnership with Socios.com, a blockchain-based fan interaction platform that gives fans access to the league and the fighters.

Apart from innovations, the PFL is also looking at massive global expansion in terms of reach and coverage.

Earlier this year, the PFL secured deals with the biggest broadcasters in countries such as India and Russia. Back in November, the PFL added even more broadcast partners in countries such as Spain, New Zealand, and the Czech Republic. Currently, the PFL is broadcast live in the United States and is distributed to 160 countries around the world, making it one of the biggest global stages for MMA today.

The PFL also expanded their reach on the digital fronts, with the launch of the OTT platform and mobile app, which gives fans all over the world access to exclusive content. The PFL will also be sharing content on various social media platforms through their partnership with WAVE.TV.

The PFL also experienced massive growth in terms of talent, with the addition of some of the biggest names in combat sports. The PFL’s 2021 season will feature the debuts of world champions such as Fabricio Werdum and Anthony Pettis.

The PFL will also host the mixed martial arts debut of three-division women’s boxing champion Claressa Shields, who begins her journey to becoming the first person to simultaneously hold world championships in boxing and MMA. 2021 is shaping up to be a massive year for the PFL, and with every step, they’re changing the landscape of mixed martial arts.
