Great news for the Catholic faithful all over the Philippines. The National Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Antipolo Cathedral) finally opens its doors for all mass-goers starting July 10, 2020. But to protect the health and safety of everyone there will be safety protocols in place.
These include: Wear face mask at all times; Temperature check at entrance; Registration (bring ID); Sanitize your hands; Step on the foot bath; and Sit on assigned seat.
In addition, only 100 persons will be allowed inside the church following the 10 percent seating capacity allowed by the IATF.
Here is the schedule of the Holy Masses. Monday to Saturday 6 a.m. | 8 a.m. (Live) | 12 noon English Mass (Live) | 4 p.m. | 6 p.m. (Live). Sunday 6 a.m. | 8 a.m. (Live) | 10 a.m. (Live) | 12 noon English Mass (Live) | 2 p.m | 4 p.m. | 6 p.m. (Live).
Church-goers are requested to strictly follow the safety protocols. The church priority remains everyone’s health and safety. This is why the public is requested to give its understanding and full cooperation.
For those who are advised to stay at home or are not allowed to go out yet, Holy Masses and other celebrations will still continue to be streamed live online through different media platforms.
Ushers at the entrances will check the temperature of the churchgoers and will be guided to where they should sit. Foot baths and hand sanitizers will also be made available at the entrances.
Even as the church remained closed under the general community quarantine (GCQ), there were many people who still visited but stayed outside the church to pray.
